Nic and Erica Dibden live in the Tilba Tilba valley in Southeast NSW where they operate a dairy farm milking Jersey cows. They have been dairying here for the past 12 years having started with just the one cow twelve years ago and now selling cows every year!
Their pure bred Jersey herd are all derived from Al (artificial Insemination), ET (Embryo Transfer) or farm bred bulls. They choose to milk Jerseys because they produce milk high in butter fat and protein and they are such lovely animals.
Keen to develop beyond the farm, they became the proud owners of South Coast Cheese initially based at Bodalla. This is a family owned and run business with a passion for creating products of the highest quality using the best ingredients available, hence no chemicals on the pastures!
As part of their diversification plan Nic and Erica are also hands on owners of the South Coast Cheese Cafe at Tilba. Recently they have taken over the ABC Cheese Factory also at Tilba. It is from here they now manufacture their cheese and by now will be bottling their own unhomogenised milk.
