Gabe says that he succeeded without any added microbial, foliars, anything other than seed and a little bit of livestock mineral. That’s all. He claims that one’s ability to be successful with regenerative agriculture is directly related to one’s understanding of how soil functions. This is what he really believes that that’s all it took for him and said: “Boy, I learned slow.”
The principles that he had: natures way, no mechanical disturbance, armour around the soil, diversity, leaving root in the ground as long as possible and then species integration are just critical. They’ll work anywhere in the world. That’s what it’s about. It’s as simple as that.

“Combining Perennial Native Grasslands, Multispecies Cover Cropping & Planned Grazing” Part 3
Did you go to hear Dr Christine Jones at Nutrisoil?
Unfortunately we couldn’t make it but we do have some notes for you which are enclosed with your Walk. These replace our normal “Talk the Walk” (See note below)
Note: There is no “Talk the Walk” for this Walk as although Hugo did a great interview with Graeme Hand the whole recording has a double echo. If you want to listen and watch we can make it available online but it is hard going.
Please check the “Talk the Walk section on Walk the Talk with Gabe Brown – Part 2“ to see the article on “Weaning off N & P – Are Your Soils Addicted?” by Christine Jones, PhD
