Steve Groff, farmer and founder of Tillage Radish was invited to Schreurs & Sons farm to talk about cover cropping. We thank Steve Groff for his enthusiasm and encouragement for farmers to adopt cover cropping. Steve is keen to help farmers succeed in adopting the method which certainly results in benefits to the soil. His generous sharing was appreciated and we are confident that it will help other farmers gain the confidence to adopt some of his ideas.and even cover cropping for vegatable growing. The farm produces celery, leeks and baby leaf all year round and uses heavy equipment on wet soils in winter. The soil comes off second.

Trial cover cropping if you’re not already doing it – cover cropping must be trialled until it works on your property. It’s a step in the right direction for profitability and satisfaction in your farm business.
