Jean Belstead met Ron and Bev Smith many years ago when Ron was having problems with mastitis in one of his dairy cows. Jean, a local homeopath showed Ron her homeopathic treatment for mastitis and Ron hasn’t looked back! He is a firm believer and follower of using homeopathy to prevent illnesses and also to relieve stress and trauma both in animals and humans.
For over 40 years Jean has been practising homeopathy with both humans and animals. She is a great believer in natural remedies and incorporates reiki and foot massage as well as kinesiology when prescribing remedies for her many clients.
Jean was proud to tell us that she brought up 5 kids using her herbal knowledge on them and apart from broken bones and a bout of whooping cough during anepidemic, the doctor has been used very little.
Jean’s dispensary has over 450 homeopathic simplexes; 80 herbal tinctures; nearly 100 flower essences; and 50 essential oils. She has been supplying farmers with homeopathic formulas for 24 years. Jean’s farming background is with daily show horses, sheep, sheep dogs and goats.
Ron and Dev Smith are legends in the dairy industry. Their farm in South Gippsland is the result of over 20 years of careful observation and tuning in to the needs of their animals and their soil. Early adoptees of natural practices, they are a shining example for fellow farmers of how to farm healthily naturally, simply, profitably and happily.
Dr. Maarten Supper is a farming systems agronomist who’s main focus is helping farmers improve the profitability of their operations by harnessing the power of natural healthy soil processes. Maarten regularly travels around Australia to talk.
